The International Pipeline Exhibition and Conference had its origin from the heart of Comite Interorganismos de Ductos (CID), entity created in 1994 and which main function was to resolve controversies related to limits and responsibilities between those organizations, as a result of that in 1992 begun the process in Petroleos Mexicanos to create the four Subsidiary Organizations. The 1st Conference was organized by Pemex Exploracion y Produccion, and every year, a different Organization was in charge to carry out the next event.

In 2001, the CID organization was substituted by the Comite de Ductos de Petroleos Mexicanos y Organismos Subsidiarios (CDPMOS), and was assignated to the Direccion Corporativa de Operaciones (DCO), which from that date has been responsible to organize such event changing its frequency to every two years. In November 2005, el CDPMOS designated Pemex Exploracion y Produccion as organizer of the 9th International Pipeline Exhibition and Conference.

At the end of 2006, it began the transition process from CDPMOS to the Comision Asesora de Transporte de Hidrocarburos por Ducto (CATHD), which continues until now. This commission remains depending of Direccion Corporativa de Operaciones. In last events, the attendance has been considerable, higher than 2000 attendees and we are sure that in this 9th International Pipeline Exhibition and Conference, we will exceed in a significant manner the attendance levels and quality from previous events. It is our challenge and we are working arduously to achieve it.
